The Royal Palm Hotel

Recently I had the honor of attending a dedication event at the Royal Palm South Beach Hotel (A Tribute Portfolio Resort), which is now affiliated with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.  Upon arrival one of the first things I noticed about the hotel was the architecture.  Designed by Lauren Rottet, the Royal Palm South Beach Miami stands as a modern tribute to the original hotel's rich history- keeping most of the original architectural elements intact dating back to the 1930s. From the moment I walked in I took notice of the original moldings on the wall, green glass reception desk, and terrazzo lobby floor- all of which took me back to the inception of Art Deco South Beach.

Soon after our arrival of the event we were escorted to an ocean view suite.  The contemporary decor allowed for a playful yet sophisticated vibe.  What's not to love about pillows with clever captioning, clean white sheets, an ocean view, and beautiful spacious bathrooms?

NOW on to probably my most favorite part of the hotel: FOOD :)

Famed Toronto based restaurant Byblos is taking its BIG talents to South Beach people! The place represents the perfect marriage of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with strong influences from both traditional and local ingredients.  The menu is a coastal and cultural mosaic, served family style in a lively environment.  I am vegan on a daily basis, but I am also half Lebanese- so it's no surprise that I couldn't help but try some of the delicious modern takes on traditional Middle Eastern dishes I grew up loving: kibbeh nayeh, labneh, etc.  And let me tell you, WOW.

Guys, if you want to try some REAL middle eastern food please, for God's sake do me a favor and visit this place when it opens in July.  I promise you will not regret a bite.

I could go on about the Royal Palm and words cannot describe how excited I am to come back again.. But we'll talk more about that later ;)

Can't wait to show you more,
