Kicking off Earth Month with Tom's of Maine

It's EARTH MONTH GUYS!  I've been relatively quiet on the wellness front lately on my blog but if you follow me on instagram you've probably noticed my occasional rants on certain brands and their false claims to being "sustainable," "earth friendly", or "natural".  I'm a hippie at heart, and care about what I expose my body (and the planet) to, which is one of the many reasons why I choose to use Tom's of Maine products.

I could go on and on about the brand, but in sum, they've committed to creating their products using sustainable practices, and use no artificial colors, flavors, fragrances, or preservatives. They strive to maximize the recyclability of their packaging and are COMPLETELY transparent about what goes into each and every one of their products.  What's not to love?

Before approached to do this campaign, I had only used their deodorant because it was the only product I was familiar with.  But after using their Tom’s of Maine “Luminous White™” Toothpaste Clean Mint for just a few weeks I have to admit I'll probably start incorporating this into my daily routine.  I noticed a difference in my smile, and knowing that it was all done by a brand that cares about our health & environment made me smile that much harder.

Speaking of incorporating more sustainable practices in my daily routine.  Here are some things you too can do differently that better contribute to the sustainable movement:

1) Shop with reusable cloth bags that are kept at home (I used one of mine to buy this product in the health & beauty section at Walmart!)

2) Make room for natural products in your beauty routine that are better for the environment and your health.

3) Make your own cleaning supplies- I can make a sample of my all purpose cleaner that I use (and can buy the rest of the ingredients at Walmart along with the toothpaste) 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide,  2 cups hot water, Juice of 1 lemon, spring of herb of your choice. I chose dried hibiscus flowers (optional)

You guys know I would never promote something I don't already use from brands I love, so I have no problem saying this is sponsored.

All my love,

GOODNIGHT!
