Natural Beauty Remedies

Hi guys!

I know it's been a long while since I showed you anything I've been cookin up in the beauty department, so I thought I'd share some natural beauty recipes that have replaced all the store-bought garbage in my beauty drawers.  Those that know me well know that I have terrible experiences with pretty much any skincare product I've ever bought at a convenient store- particularly the ones with all the crazy chemicals in them.  Oils, fruits, & herbs take care of every beauty problem I've ever had including acne, scars, yellow teeth, puffy eyes, etc. Here are a couple of my favorites that I think you should try.

For a Whiter Smile:  1 Strawberry + 1/2 tsp Baking Soda.. Brush on

Why it works? Baking soda is found in most toothpastes and whiteners, so its no surprise that it acts as a powerful tooth whitener, but did you know strawberries will enhance the whitening effect? Strawberries contain an enzyme called Malic acid. This organic acid acts like an astringent by removing surface stain of the teeth.

To Reduce Dark Circles under your eyes : Crush up 1 sprig of mint leaves and apply under eyes for 20 minutes

Why it works? Flavanoids in mint produce antioxidants that help in reducing free-radical damage caused to the cells of eyes, thereby treating dark circles.  Since I'm always running an an irregular sleep cycle; this is tried and true!  Amazing huh?

3 Super Easy One-Ingredient Beauty Recipes

1. Banana. Mash one overripe banana and spread it onto your face. After 15 to 30 minutes, rinse it off with warm water. The natural fruit acids and vitamins in this face mask buff away dead skin cells, making it ideal for acne-prone skin—but it works wonders for all skin types.

2. Apple cider vinegar. Dilute one part apple cider vinegar with two parts water, and use a cotton ball to apply it to your face as a toner. This toner is also great for acne-prone skin. It helps clear blemishes by keeping you skin’s acidity in check and killing bacteria. Bonus: It fades age spots, too!

3. Avocado. Mash an avocado and leave it on your skin for 10 minutes. Avocados have natural sunscreen properties and they also help boost collagen and elastin cell growth, which means fewer fine lines and wrinkles.
